To find appropriate candidates for the Board of Trustees, Program Council, and Nominating Committee.
The Nominating Committee is composed of two board appointed members and three members selected at-large from the general membership. The committee works throughout the year to fill vacant positions on the Program Council. Two to three months prior to the annual meeting, the committee evaluates who is leaving the Board of Trustees and begins the process of research, selection, and nomination of new candidates. To prevent a conflict of interest, the committee cannot recommend any of its own members for board positions.
Minutes are taken during meeting and distributed to the members before next meeting. Meeting reminders are usually sent out 5-7 days prior to a meeting.
The co-chairs and Vice President keep the Fellowship informed of new openings on the Program Council via the newsletter, the web page, and the order of service in order. The procedures for when and how to inform the Fellowship about nominees for the Board of Trustees are designated by the bylaws.
Members of the committee will be asked to help with any of the primary functions of the committee such as researching and recommending appropriate candidates for the Board and Program Council.
